LO: Can I plan a diary entry?
Imagine you are a Roman Gladiator. What might you do on a day to day basis? What events might be included in your diary? Brainstorm some ideas; you could draw a mind map.

Tomorrow you are going to be writing diary entries for 2 days as a Gladiator. Today you need to plan what you are going to write about. Use these story boards to plan your ideas for day 1 and 2.
Here are some ideas for what you can write about . Day 1- the build up/training for tomorrow's big fight. Day 2- The big fight!

Starter: Can you put these cards into the correct category?
Main activity: Can you solve these problems?
e.g. How many seconds in 5 minutes? First, work out how many seconds are in 1 minute (60 seconds) then times that number by 5 and you will find the answer (60X5=300).
