LO: Can I edit and re-draft my mythical story?
Read your story and underline any words or sentences that you think could be improved. Then use a different coloured pen to edit your work. Look up synonyms of words to find more interesting vocabulary to use.
Have you checked grammar and punctuation?
Have you included:
- adjectives to describe nouns?
- adverbs to describe actions?
- Fronted adverbials
- Similes
- A variety of punctuation.

Activity 1- use this mind map to record facts that you already know and questions you would like to research about Alfred the Great. How do you think he felt about the Viking invaders?
