Read through the ‘Where food comes from’ Powerpoint. Which foods are usually sourced locally and which foods are usually imported? Why are these foods imported?
Many foods that we like to eat come from warmer countries. Have a look at some items in your kitchen cupboards and identify the country of origin from the label.
- Use this world map to label where some food in your kitchen comes from.
- Sort some food in your kitchen into UK sourced and imported.
- Choose some food and research where it is mainly sourced from. For example, can you find out where chocolate is mainly sourced from?
Our topic this term is rhythm and pulse.
