Maths

Today we are using our understanding of height, length and breadth to solve practical problems.

Use construction materials such as Lego or Duplo or junk modelling materials from your recycling to complete one of the activities below.

Activities:

Can you build beds or chairs for Daddy Bear, Mummy Bear and Baby Bear? Think about the height and length needed for each one.

Or construct bridges for your cars or trains. You will need to consider how long, how wide and how high you want your bridge to be and select which blocks/materials to use.

Literacy

Watch The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig again.

Can you think of any other animals that you could use in a new story that would be twist on the three little pigs.

For example, The Three Little Foxes and the Big Bad Rabbit.

We are going to become authors and create our own version of this story using new animals and different materials for the houses.

Activity:  Today we are planning our stories. Use the template to plan the characters you will use and then the different homes.
