LO – Can I use a range of words to describe my inspirational figure?
In today’s English lesson, we will be looking at a range of synonyms to describe some of the things Harriet Tubman had to go through during her life.
Task 1 – Watch the input video and stop at each activity. The video focuses on the adjectives; grueling, laborious and backbreaking.
Write down as many sentences as you can about Harriet Tubman, using these adjectives.
For example; For years, Harriet endured backbreaking work as she was treated in an inhumane way by her slave owners.
