Good morning everyone. I'd just like to say how sad I am that we are not learning together. However, as long as we stay positive, we can make this into a learning experience that we can all enjoy. Please try and use your time wisely by keeping to the structure of a normal school day as much as possible. There will be a Maths lesson and an English lesson every morning, followed by a Foundation lesson in the afternoon. Today's task is to write a recount about how happy and active Nelson was when he moved to the nearby village of Qunu. Use the text and the picture to help you. You can see how happy he was from the expression on his face. Also, please make sure you think about using a variety of openers and good vocabulary choices to ensure your writing is interesting for the reader.
eg When my family decided to move to Qunu, I felt uneasy as I didn't know anyone and was unfamiliar with my new surroundings. My home was nice enough, and I felt safe, but I wasn't sure whether I'd enjoy living there. However, I soon realised how lucky I was when I suddenly made lots of good friends. We had so much fun together!
